Before AES NYC became a go-to name in venue management and event sourcing, its founder Dan Kobin was better known for wielding a whisk than a floor plan. A talented chef and restaurateur with multiple successful ventures, Dan built his reputation in New York’s restaurant world before expanding into catering and off-site events. His knack for transforming spaces and orchestrating memorable experiences soon led him to a new passion in finding and shaping the perfect white box venues for NYC’s most discerning brands and highly visible events and activations.
By 2009, that passion became AES NYC, a company dedicated to the art of creating, managing, and discovering remarkable event spaces. What began as a couple of curated locations has since grown into a thriving network serving Fortune 500 companies, global brands, and creative agencies across product launches, conferences, trade shows, film shoots, retail pop-ups, and everything in between.
Today, AES NYC is known for its distinctive collection of owned and managed vsdenues, including Center415 (30,000 sq. ft. on Fifth Avenue), Iron23 (17,000 sq. ft. in the Flatiron District), 21Greene (3,500 sq. ft. in SoHo), 45Grand (4,600 sq. ft. in SoHo), and Annex417 (20,000 sq.ft in Midtown). When clients seek something beyond our own walls, our Venue Seek service steps in, tapping into decades of relationships and insider knowledge to uncover New York’s most intriguing hidden gems: raw industrial spaces, elegant brownstones, rooftops with skyline views, and blank-canvas interiors waiting to be transformed.
At AES NYC, hospitality still runs through everything we do. We believe in service with personality, in spaces that act as a backdrop for event producers and brands to tell their stories, and in partnerships that feel as comfortable as they are creative. From whisk to warehouse, it’s been quite the journey, and we’re just getting started.
